ドーセット及び東デヴォン海岸について

イギリス南部、ドーセットと東デボン海岸に沿う崖では三畳紀・ジュラ紀・白亜紀といった中生代においての地球の形成過程を今に残す地層、地形、化石をみることができる。
魚竜イクチオサウルスやアンモナイト等、この地で発見される多種多様な化石は古生物学の研究するにおいて貴重な資料となっている。
